Troubleshooting Nec TVs

NEC FS2181 Periodically does not turn on - reason Q603 (A1015) leak K-E Nec I came to me after several telemasters with a diagnosis - TDKS was broken. I believed it. After replacing TDKS in 5 sec. the line transistor burns out, the TV beeps strongly, the transistor is very hot. I turn off OS, put on a new D1555, turn it on, the TV turns on. I change the OS, everything is normal. Conclusion: in such cases, before changing expensive parts, check everything !!! (OS does not take long to shut down). The malfunction was encountered on different TVs more than once.

 

NEC FS-2181SKB. Does not turn on. Breakage of the resistor 3 Ohm 5 W and breakdown of the capacitor 100.0 x 400 V in the PSU due to a voltage surge.

 

NEC 2182. No tuning on MV band. Adjusted the AGC level.

NEC 2182SKB. Does not turn on. Broken ceramic capacitor in the filter BP S800 0.1 μF x 400. The defect is typical. Poor quality components or, most likely, the designers laid the wrong type of capacitor.

 

NEC 2182. Turns on, but LED is off. The screen is light with reverse lines. A 10 Ohm resistor in the power supply circuit of 200 V video amplifiers burned out due to the short circuit of the uncut long output to the printed conductor on the picture tube board.

 

NEC 2182SKB. Does not turn on. The ceramic capacitor in the filter BP S800 0.1 μF x 400 is broken and the R802 100 Ohm 1 W resistor burned out.

NEC-2181. Does not turn on. Broken 2SD1710 transistor in the power supply. Replaced by 2SD1545 transistor

 

NEC FS-2181SK. After the failure of the personnel M.S. IC401 AN5515 recommend replacing R511 (2.2 Ohm). It rings as serviceable, but there is a break in operation.

 

NEC CT2011SK. Typical malfunction: there is no sound, IC301 TDA1904 is out of order. I change to a more "high voltage" TDA1905. always cause damage to m.s. there was an overestimated supply voltage due to a defective optocoupler IC601 (LVT817) or transistor Q603 (2SA1015, 2SA1376), and the protective ZD621 R2M does not save. Installing the ZD621 is nevertheless necessary as without it, not only the sound burns, but also the lowercase tr-r, the capacitors swell and explode.

NEC CT-2011SK Fault: the image "breathes" (ie the size changes with brightness). When measuring the PSU, the voltage goes from 90 to 115V. R608 changed the denomination from 560 ohm to 1 com.

 

Nec CT-2011 Fault: the power supply unit does not start well, After starting - the output voltage is ~ 80V. R608 (560 OM) is burnt in the optocoupler circuit.
